buds are placed crosswise (directly) opposite, lateral ones are pressed against the twig, at the end of the shoot there are two buds - apical paired
buds are ovoid, pointed, up to 5 mm large
covering scales are several, reddish-brown

Leaves (assimilation organs)

on the upper side they are bright green, on the lower side there are tufts of hairs in the vein axils
there are red colored leaves - form Atropurpureum

Flowers
